BOOT CAMP
Ion/Apex Electric knows to be the best we must employ the best. This is why all new hires spend their first two weeks at Ion/Apex in boot camp. During the boot camp new hires will be properly trained for the field before they ever set foot on a job site. We want to ensure our employees are safest when they work and our clients are receiving quality work from each skilled laborer.
Boot camp includes:
- New hire safety training
- Lift certification
- Verified math skills
- 8 days of hands-on practice training
Ion/Apex Electric is a merit based company and as such we expect each of our employees to grow within the organization. To assist our apprentices in this process we have strategically partnered with KYICT to develop an apprenticeship school that every apprentice attends weekly. The apprenticeship program is a 4 year Kentucky recognized program for electrical. The school runs year round and every apprentice is provided at minimum 3 hours of apprenticeship training a week. We strive to continously improve the quality of our work and improve the livelihood of each and every apprentice.
LICENSED JOURNEYMANIon/Apex Electric values the term journeyman. Therefore, each and every journeyman within our company is required to hold a valid electrical journeyman license with the state of Kentucky. Our apprentices are able to take the Kentucky Electrical Journeyman License exam after they have completed two years of their apprenticeship school. All newly hired journeyman either have their license upon hire or are expected to take the exam within the fist 90 days of their employment with Ion/Apex.
